Thanks for the response. I had found a certificate signed by the Shelby County Probate Judge and others noting that Chambless was a full fledged doctor and was granted a license to practice in Alabama. I donated the paper to the Shelby County Alabama Historical Society/Museun in Columbiana Alabama. Doing research there, I found very little about him. You should be able to see the certificate at the museum
