Thompson's Mill was located in extreme south Shelby County in Wilton, below Montevallo, just north of the Bibb County line. Go to USGenWeb.com , click Alabama, then Shelby County. On the Shelby County page you will see a section titled HISTORY of Shelby County, under that section click the article "First Iron Made in County was Forged in Wilson" and you will find Thompson's Mill in the article.
