In 1840 Lazarus Pitts is listed in Bibb County: (0-1-2-0-0-0-0-1) - (0-0-0-1-0-1-1)
In 1850 Lazarus and Penelope, John, Horatio and Susannah were living in East Side Cahaba River, Bibb, Alabama. Aaron Pitts lived nearby.

In 1850 Aaron and Martha and William were living in E. Cahaba River, Bibb, Alabama.
In 1860 Aaron and Martha, Robert, Dorinda, Bush, Millard, H, John and Julia were in Montevallo, Shelby, Alabama.
Montevallo became part of the newly formed Baker County in 1868, then renamed Chilton county in 1874.

In 1850, Horatio and Susannah were living with his parents in East Side Cahaba River, Bibb County,Alabama. They had been married within the year. Brother Aaron was married and living close by.
In 1860 Horatio, Elizabeth, Louisa, Nancy and Elizabeth are living in Randolph, East Side Cahaba River, Bibb, Alabama. Mary Wiley,28 and son Levi M. Wiley, 4, are living with them.
The 1870 census lists Elizabeth, Ann and Peduly living in Baker County, AL. The census taker may have left Horatio and Susannah off, since there are two blank lines on the previous page.
