The only info I have on Obediah Farley is that on a copy of certificate where he purchased a part of a section of land located in Tuscaloosa, Al, dated 1834, and that he was from Shelby County, Al. Andrew Jackson was president of U S at that time. Also, have a copy of another certificate showing William Farley, of Shelby County, Al, bought a part of a section of what looks to be the same section of land in Tuscaloosa, Al in 1835. Also, have a copy of a certificate showing Matthew A Farley, of Shelby County, Al, owning a portion of a section of land in Tuscaloosa, Al, on 6-1-1858. My grandfather, Pleasant Farley was from Shelby County, Al at one time, and his father was William Farley. I also show Pleasant Farley and Obediah Farley living in Lawrence County, Al. I know that Pleasant was my father's father and that he lived in Shelby, Lawrence and Jefferson
counties in Al. He and Wm fought in Civil War.Please reply
