Ruhama Baptist Church is located in the East Lake Community within the City of Birmingham.
Ruhama was one of the first churches in Jefferson County in the Birmingham area,
having been started prior to the State's admission to the union in 1819
and some 54 years prior to the incorporation of the city.
It is in new looking condition and a great collectible history of the Birmingham area.
Both of the authors were from Samford University in Birmingham.
