I need some research done please. I am in possession of an obituary that I believe is my ancestor and his undocumented second marriage. The Columbus Enquirer-Sun, Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1893, Pg. 5 reads "Phenix City - Mr. J. E. Clements, aged seventy-eight years died at hs home in Phenix City Sunday at 2:30 o'clock a.m. His wife and three children survive him. He was a member of the Christian church. The funeral occured at 10 o'clock yesterday morning and was conducted by REv. L. A. Dale."
I am willing to pay someone to find out where he might have been buried and the wife's name and names of the three children. I believe that he is the same J. E. Clements that appears on the 1880 Lee Co., Al. census with a wife age 23 named Susan and a 1 year old daughter named Adaline. Please let me know if you can help me locate a town directory or tax records or anything to find out more about this J. E. Clements.
Hoping to hear from you soon. Virginia Clements Tuttle in Marietta, GA Email me please: Gintut@aol.com
