Dorothy,

I've just started my search on our Johnson/Lancaster families. We have ancestors who were living in Talbot Co., GA in 1925 for sure. Our great aunt, Vera Alice "Johnson" Murray was born April 14, 1925 Juniper, Talbot Co., GA to James Ellis Johnson (an only child) b. 1903 in Russell Co., AL d.1976 and Clara Frances Lancaster b.1902 d.1968(daughter of Victor Lancaster and Lenora "Nora" Sizemore) both are buried Russell Co., AL siblings to Vera are:
James Louis Johnson b.1933 Montgomery, AL d. 2000
Robert Franklin Johnson b.1936 Montgomery, AL d. 1993.
Both are buried in Russell Co., AL.

Clara Frances Lancaster also had a sister Effie who married Roy Johnson. They had two children...one died young and the other a son, Victor Leleus(sp?), who has six children. (names unknown to me). The Lancaster sisters also had two brothers...George, he was a teacher, and Luther, who was a minister.

This is all I have now as I haven't made it to the library yet. I noticed you had a Johnson/Lancaster marriage in the same areas...think we have might be distant cousins?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks,

Athena
