The Ussery Family-potters at Bacon Level
Members of the Ussery and Falkner (or Faulkner) families made pottery ca. 1870-1900 near the Bacon Level community in Randolph County AL.The Falkners later moved to Sterrett in Shelby County. I would like to buy signed pieces of pottery made by the Ussery's, if any family member has some and would consider selling. I have a few pieces which are unsigned, but attributed to the Ussery's. Have visited the site of the Ussery pottery and picked up broken sherds, some with an incised wavy design. Would like one of these also.
