I have information on a Tolbert Randolph (AFN 1J4T-3BK) that I recently found in the LDS records. My family has been trying to locate any information on him for over 70 years, and I finally found him 3 days ago. How exciting!!! Anway, his name is Tolbert Fannin Randolph. He was born 10/28/1833 in Fayette, Co Alabama. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Gidden (who was born 1/29/1840 in Fayette, Co AL, and died 9/18/1890 in Pipe Creek, TX) on 12/5/1861 in Pontotoc, MS. He died 12/31/1894 in Roswell, NM. He was severely estranged from his family as a late adolescent (about age 15 or 16 ) for reasons unknown, to such an extent that, when his son (my great-grandafather) William Fannin Randolph went to AL in the early 1900's to find his father's family, they wouldn't let him on the property. This is why we have been unable to trace his ancestry for all of these years. I would greatly appreciate any information from anyone who knows anything more about him and why he was estranged from his family. He apparently had one older brother, Montgomery Campbell Randolph, 5 younger brothers, and 3 younger sisters. His father's name was Jeremiah, and his mother was Mary Courtney Billingsley. Thank you for whatever help you can give.
