researching in Randolph County area

Hi,

Mom and I are thinking of making a trip to Anniston to do some local research. Since the families we are researching were also in Randolph county for a while, we thought of making a run down there from Anniston. Can anyone tell us what genealogy resources are available in the area? Any quirks of which we should know? (We have a library not far from us wherein you must lock up all things in a locker except for a pencil and one sheet of paper. Not fun to do research there.)

Thanks so much!
Mary
