Annette, first of all let me tell you that I have very little on Wiley Jones I show him married to Sarah Ball on 15 April 1821 in Greene County GA. I do not know if Wiley migrated to Alabama with Joseph & Winney or not. A Deed of Gift executed by Joseph Jones in 1859 says this:
The State of Alabama County of Pike
Know all men by these present, that I Joseph Jones, Sr of said County in consideration of the natural love and affection, which I have for the grantees hereinafter mentioned, of my desire to secure to my descendents the property, I have amassed, so far as I can do so, consistently with law, and for the further consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid, by the said grantees, receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge, do herby give, grant, bargain, sell, convey, and comfirm unto my sons, Seaborn Jones, Raleigh Jones, Freeman Jones, Pressley Jones, and William Jones, and to my daughter Nancy Ballard, wife of Benjamin R. Ballard, and also to the heirs-at-Iaw, of my deceased sons, Wiley Jones & Joseph Jones, and also to the heirs-at-Iaw of my deceased daughters, Elizabeth Gladwell, who was wife of Archibald Gladwell, deceased, Cynthia Cheatham, who was wife of Isham Cheatham, Jane Ward who was wife of Richard Ward, deceased,and Ann Stewart who was wife of Charles Stewart, the following Lands lying in said county, to wit .
I have a transcription of the document if you want the whole thing...Let me know and I will be glad to send it. I would suggest that being Wiley was you gg grandfather that you try to locate at least one direct male descendant of Wiley Jones and have him get involved into the DNA Testing Program.
