I am trying to locate info on the Richards and Safford families that may have lived in Pickens County in the 1840's Thomas Jefferson Richards,was born to A Thomas J.Richards and a Miss Smith in July 1849. He later married a Mary Safford. I am not sure what county. Can anyone tell me where I can loate Census records for the State of Alabama? Any info appreciated. Thanks,Eunice
