I'm related to the other James and Charlotte Sanders in Pickens Co AL. James Gunnell Sanders married Charlotte T Lane in 1819 in Wilkes Co NC. I have a xerox copy of their Bible entries but do not know the exact source, just a Stapp family relation in Caledonia MS. My James always used his middle initial "G" to distinguish himself from the many other James Sanders in the southeast.
The clerks discouraged me from any research saying all all that been lost in the 3 fires. But I've learned that many others had have old records there after all. Will have to try to get around those clerks next time!! Wanda Sanders and her sisters researched and authored several books on their Sanders lines and they are a wonderful source of info.
