James Chalmers

I am looking for information on the Chalmers family of Pickens County. I am particularly interested in James Chalmers who is found in Pickensville in the 1850 and 1860 censuses. He is listed as age 37 in 1850, but only age 41 in 1860, so I'm not sure of his birth year. In both censuses he is listed as born in Scotland, and his wife is listed as Eliza b NY. In 1860 these appear to be their children: Mary,William, Frank, Joe, and John.

I am particularly interested in finding out who James's parents were.

Thanks for any help.
