James Crossland and Sara Hancock had a daughter named Lucinda, born abt 1855 Tuscaloosa Co., AL. James was the son of Meredith Taylor Crossland and Lucinda Cleveland.

Meredith Taylor Crossland was born 1805 Cocke Co.,TN. I believe his parents were Samuel Crossland and Annie Johnson. Annie is thought to be daughter of James Moorman Johnson and Mariann Cottrell.

Lucinda Cleveland was daughter of Joseph Cleveland and Martha "Patsy" Meeks. Joseph was son of Wyatt Cleveland and Temperance Freeman. Patsy was daughter of Rev. Littleton Meeks and Elizabeth Ivey.

Castleton Lyons was the uncle of Joseph. He married Martha Cleveland, sister to Wyatt. The Lyons were charter members of Bethel Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa, constituted Jan. 29, 1818.

The Cleveland,Crossland, Lyons families moved to Tuscaloosa Co., AL before 1830.
