Thank you for all the information and confirming that Ephraim is the father of James P. Simpson. After I sent the message, I realized that Martha could not be his mother since she would have been too young, so glad to have that clarified as well. In 1850 I found James next door to "E. Simpson" and figured he was a good candidate to be the father.

Yes, I do have all the children for James P. as I have the census for him from 1850-1880. It appears he moves to Oktibbeha C0, MS between 1870 and 1880.
