Yes, it has been a while since I have posted a message, but the Message Board keeps hope alive. I am very happy for your eventual discovery of my message.
My mother was Beulah Pauline LOLLIS b. 1916 AR, d. 1999 OK. Her father was James Harley "Harley" LOLLIS, b. 1878., d. 1930 AR. Her grandfather was the "Calloway Lollis age 8," listed in the Pickens County, Alabama 1860 census that you cited as the source of your information; b. 1851-52 SC, d. 1919 AR. He is the one that "signed off" for his group of heirs [minors?] in that David DUNCAN will you mentioned. He was known as "Smith" LOLLIS (from his middle name of Smith or Smithton) in the Kibler/Van Buren, CRAWFORD Co., AR community where he lived his final years.
I'd appreciate receiving similar information on yourself, to show me how you are related, LOLLIS-wise. As I understand that the Lollis Family Genealogy Forum does not accommodate attachments, please tell me if you can unzip attachments if I send them to your e-mail address. I will plan to post as much information as is appropriate, here, . . . , for other interested Lollis researchers.
Now, I am going to go check my records to compose some more information for you, including the name of another serious DUNCAN-LOLLIS researcher for this lineage. Please do not be surprised if I take as much as three days, as my life is hectic at the moment.
Regards, Janice HARMON Steed
