Benjamin Franklin JONES b. 1840

I have just begun searching my JONES line in Pickens Co.

On the 1850 census of Pickens Co.
Jones, H. 61 farmer NC
Elizabeth 50 SC
Elizar 23 f AL
Henry T. 20 AL
John H. 16 AL
Edmon 13 AL
Benjamin 10 AL
Benjamin joined Company 'H' 5th Alabama Infantry in 1861 and surrendered at Appomattox at the close of the war.

He moved to Texas in 1869, settling in Cherokee Co., Dialville.

From looking at the 1850 Pickens Co., census records, there are tons of Jones families. Surely I am connected to some of the others.

Would love to find some new cousins.
Thank you,
Toni
