JAMES LINDSEY - 1850-1880
Posted by: Lou Hunter Date: February 01, 2000 at 06:32:12

James LINDSEY is listed in Pickens Co in the 1855 State Census. He had a son born about 1850 in AL, who could possibly be my great- grandfather, James (Jim) LINDSEY who married Caroline THOMAS about 1873. Caroline THOMAS was the daughter of Henley THOMAS (called Thomas Henley on p. 413 of the Pickens County Heritage Book) and Louisa McGEE, members of early Pickens Co families.

Henley(Henry)(Henly)(Hinly)THOMAS was the son of John THOMAS and Clarissa HENLEY. Louisa McGEE was the daughter of Wiley (Wyley) McGEE and Nancy JONES.

I have not been able to identify the parents or siblings of my James LINDSEY. Please help, if you have any clues which might lead to the discovery of my LINDSEY family roots.
