Hi, I learned long ago that in genealogy research "coincidence" is not the "exception," but actually the "rule" and the following may be nothing but "coincidence," but its enough of an anomaly to draw attention to itself and worth looking into further. You show in your posting, a "JANE A. Abbott, b'abt 1824, married GREEN B. SANDERS 1838 [1850, Perry Co]" and you also state: "...Remaining in Perry Co. in 1850 are several sisters and Lewis C. Abbott age 17 in household with sister JANE A. Abbott, born abt. 1824, wife of GREEN B. SANDERS. By interesting coincidence, I have a marriage record from Winston County, Mississippi showing "GREEN B. SANDERS married Carolyn JANE Curtis on 24 March 1844" and from a family Bible record I have Carolyn JANE Curtis's birth date as 18 January 1824. As you can probably understand, I'm curious as to what record you have showing your Green B. Sanders married to Jane A. Abbott who may also be born in the year 1824. It is certainly not impossible that there could be two men named Green B. Sanders who marry a woman named Jane who was born in 1824, and who is living in Mississippi. I've seen other coincidences that are just as surprising and perhaps some that were even more surprising, still.....<grin> Thanks, ---- Jay Notify Administrator about this message?
