MR. PITTMAN:
By the responses you have given, it appears you have access to Perry County Records. I have only been able to search Perry County marriages up to 1840. Are those records available on line??
I need to see if a marriage occurred for Cornelius R. B. Cox. He was living in Bibb Co. in 1840 under the name of C> R. Cox, single, yet no record of his marriage appears in Bibb or any of the surrounding counties. He had a son named William Emmett Cox b. 1844. C.R. was murdered sometime between 1843 and 1850. No one knows the name of his wife. She may have been murdered at the same time he was. C.R's family lived in the Maplesville area, moving to Rockford by 1850 where his son William is living with Henry Cox (C.R.'s brother) and Nancy Cox (C.R.'s mother)
