Matilda "Tildy" Ann Free was daughter of Jasper Free and Eliza Jane Henderson.
John Bowling was son of John Britton Bowling and Elizabeth Rebecca Rivers.He was born in Marshal County, AL, and on the 1880 census he was living with Richard and Mary Hughes.John was first married July 20, 1973, in Morgan County to Mary Jane Dunn.Mary Jane Dunn died of Tuberculos on Mar 10, 1881, and is buried at Prince Cemetery in Union Hill, Morgan County.Her mother and father were Jacob Dunn and Sarah Rachel Collins.Children of John and Mary are:Carrie B. Bowling, born Aug 7, 1873, and died about 1908 in Texas -- Edward Lewis Bowling, born Feb 7, 1878, and died Jul 11, 1953 in Morgan County, Al.He's buried in the Old New Canaan Ceemtery.He went by the name Lewis

He was born in York County, SC.Occupation was Blacksmith, farmer, tanner, and saw miller.His father was Benjamin Bowling and his mother was Jane Wilkinson.He married Louisa Fleming (or Flering) Compton on Jun 25, 1851, in Morgan County, he then married Elizabeth Rebecca Rivers who died in 1880 in Morgan County and is buried in the Prince Cemetery (or Rebecka Rivers).Rebecca died of typhoid fever.Her father was Matthew Riley Rivers and her mother was Mary Prince.
