Hoyt, I really think the Lauderdale Charles Griffin is my man but I don't have any proof except that I haven't seen anyone better. This Charles Griffin's self and parents are born in AL which rings true for me. Also my Charles has been noted as born in 1883 in some places. However, per his father's (Millard Griffin) obit from OK, Charles was not a surviving son in May 1934. I have tried to obtain a death certificate from State of AL but they have no record. Perhaps Lauderdale County has some index, I don't know. Do you live in this area? Thanks, Phyllis
