Linda: "Mark" Moore was my GGGrandmother's (Martha Ann Elizabeth) brother. Their mother Elizabeth Ann Jackson married Jacob Moore on June 18, 1806 in Georgia. They moved to Alabama soon after Martha's birth about 1818. Elizabeth's parents where William Jackson, jr and Elizabeth Borland. They married at Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia in 1784. This information comes from the my mother's family's DAR files. Just read some postings the other day that said than William Jackson, Jr's father was Wiliam Jackson of VA (from Scotland), and mother was Elizabeth Jackson whos father was from Scotland. (Quakers I believe). William Sr. was killed before William, Jr was born. Elizabeth married a Borland. William JR's Elizabeth was a Step sister. I am trying to verify this. I hope this helps. Let me know.

Bill
