Scotts of Ada, AL----Georgia and Alabama

Greetings !

I am the great granddaughter of ___? Scott and his wife Margaret____? Scott. They had one daughter- Mceb--pronounced Macabee---- she was born in the 1890's in Georgia and grew up in Ada, Alabama. She attended and graduated from Judson college in Alabama. After her father died, she and her mother, Margaret moved to Houston, Texas, where she met and married my grandfather. I have tracked down Scott families from these areas- but do not know which is mine-

I DO know that my grandmother had a cousin- Virgil Scott- I found his family- somewhere on Internet- I cannot remember where- Virgil Scott was born April 1896 in Alabama. He died in Houston, TX. Virgil was the son of Virgil Scott(b. 1868 in AL) and Naomia (b. April 1876 in GA.) They had 4 children-
1. Bessie M Scott- b. Jan. 1893 in AL.(female)
2. Jessie M. Scott - b. Sept. 1895 in AL . (male )
3. Virgil Scott- b. April 1896 in AL.(male)
4. Emory Scott- b. 1898 in AL.(male )

My guess is that Virgil Scott ,Sr.'s father was the grandfather of my grandmother- but I have been unable to trace this family backwards from Virgil Scott , Sr.

Virgil's family shows up in the 1900 U.S. Census of Haralson Co., GA.

ANY related information at all would be SO appreciated.

If ANY of this information looks familiar, I would LOVE to hear from you!
