Am searching for info on Eva Marie Steadman who married John M. Fleming. There isn't much I can tell about Eva as all I have is a picture w/ her name on the back and saying she was Lillian Fleming's mother.
Lillian was the daughter of John M. Fleming and was found age 4 living w/ her grandparents John H and Rachel Fleming in Tullahoma, Coffee County, Tennessee in 1900. Lillian's birthdate is June 16, 1895. I think that maybe her mother, Eva Marie Steadman Fleming may have died either during childbirth or in the 4 1/2 years between Lillian's birth and the 1900 census. Her father, John M.Fleming is found living in AL or GA can't remember w/o looking at my notes in the 1900 census as well, however he is listed as a widow.
I also have a picture of Eva's gavesite where there are two single stones w/ concrete slabs over the entire grave and stone flower pots at the foot of the slab. On the back of the picture it says Mrs. Bacheldors and Eva Steadman Fleming mother of Lillian Fleming. Unfortunatly the snapshot if very old and taken too far away from the stones to be able to read names or dates on the stones.
John M. Fleming re-married to Edith Wilson and he and Edith lived in GA where they ran a laundry called Athens Empire Laundry, Athens, GA. John and Edith had two other children, Veta Nell and Jessie Mae Fleming but never took Lillian from her grandparents home. Veta died after a short 3 years of life.
John, his parents, his daughter Lillian, his second wife Edith and other family members are buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Tullahoma, Coffee County, Tennessee but I have not found Eva Marie Steadman Fleming's or the Mrs. Bacheldor's grave yet.
If anyone can please help me out I would greatly appreicate the help.
