Deborah - I am trying many leads to find more information about my ancestor, Alexander Fancher. One time Paul Fancher who wrote a book on Fancher families suggested that he might have a different last name for a period of time. So, I would just like to see if there is a possibility for this person.
My Alexander Fancher was born in 1820 in Tennessee so he would be about 20 years old in the census that you are referring to. I can't find out any information on him until the Civil War in 1860's.
How old is the Alexander Fancher Edwards in this census? Do you know anything at all about him?
Thanks for your help.
