I looked all over for them in 1920 but didn't turn up anything. There should be birth certificates available for all of these children and I would suspect that they were born in Mobile.
Mobile County started keeping birth and death records in the 1870s, with the state taking over around 1909. These early birth records are available from the Mobile County Health Department for a fee. Death records are available at the Mobile Genealogical Society library, I think on Government Street. Someone here may be able to do a lookup, but I didn't see Cora's name in the index from 1877 to 1922...I only saw about five or six of that name actually.
The state death certificate index for 1909-1959 doesn't have her either and I checked under every variation of the name that I could think of.
I suppose it's possible that her death wasn't recorded, just your luck huh!
Your best bet would be to contact the cemetery that Richard is buried in and see if they have a record of her. You might also try Magnolia Cemetery on Virginia Avenue as there are extant records there as well. The Catholic Cemetery has records available as well, but they may have closed it by that time, I'm not really sure.
It's hard to track these things down when the records aren't cooperating but hopefully something will turn up for you. Though I'm not sure, I believe the Mobile Genealogical Society library has old newspapers...maybe an obituary could be located? I imagine that they could do a search for a nominal fee.
