Thank you, Scott!
I have used the searchable marriage index at the Mobile Probate site (goes back a long way- I wish all counties would do that!!)
Where did you find them in 1930?! I've found both of them before they were married and together in the Federal Census in Mobile, Alonzo's Store, for 1910, but nothing afterwards. Not a peep. You spelled it Weinacher- is that how it was spelled?
I know that Cora died before Richard, and that she died when my grandmother, Catherine, was a young teenager, maybe 16 or so. Thus my guess at 1930.
This seems like a silly question, but, I'm curious, would the cause of death play a factor in my difficulty finding the record? Family rumor has it that she committed suicide, although everyone was told pneumonia... They were Catholic, but I'm not sure how religious they were. What do you think? Oh- I had a sudden thought! I wonder if she left them? It seems unlikely because the children were old enough to know the difference. I'll bet they just misspelled the last name.
PS. Thank you so much for the help!
