1850 census lookup---please

Would someone with access to the 1850 Alabama census please look and see if a
James Sinclair is listed. Possible county is Cherokee. He was in Union co. SC in 1840 and 1860. It is possible he went to Alabama with two of his brothers, and came back to SC. Family rumour says he came from Alabama, but that is not true, as he states he was born in SC, and his father
states the same.

Possible variations of spelling are:
Sincler, St. Clair, Sinkler.

If interested, I will do lookups in SC for information available in local library.
