I'm looking for info on the Louis Pinkney Matkin family of Morgan Co., AL. Louis was the youngest son of Durham Matkin and his 2nd wife, Cornelia Jane Askew. He was born in 1866 and died in 1926 in Falkville, AL. I've managed to track him down from 1866-1870 in Yalabusha Co, MS and then again in 1900 Morgan Co., AL , but have no info on the 30 years between. He returned to Morgan Co. to marry his cousin, Minnie Barkley and had 5 children; Helen, Pierce, Mary, Marcella and Ralph. Helen, Pierce and Mary were born in San Franciso, CA where Helen died of diptheria. The family returned to Morgan Co. after the 1906 earthquake to remain. Any info on the missing years or other related info would be greatly appreciated. I'm more than happy to share info collected to date on the Matkin family prior to 1866.
