Gosh, Phyl, this is MORE than helpful - thank you so much! Your early links did not work for me but the census etc details are fabulous.

How do you connect? I can certainly feed you quite alot about the Buttner connection in Germany if you want it. Julius' father was a Major General in the Hanoverian army and fought at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.

I don't think I need the McLean details thanks but if you happen to have the Julius/Sarah marriage details it would be nice to have those.
