FARR, the eldest 18 years of age, had been opossum hunting and returning went up stairs, carrying the lantern they used with them.It is supposed the lantern was left burning and in the night exploded or was turned over, a member of the family down stairs discovered the roof of the house on fire and tried to awaken the boys up stairs, but could not.
