hello Rebecca, I have just read your post 20665, Alabama Gen Forum. I may be jumping to a false assumption here, but I feel we have strong connection between us thru John Easley in that our research has lead both of us to this John.
I believe that this John, married Sarah Bush in Va, and they moved to GA. My Daniel Bush Easley was born in Ga. in 1792 who married Jane Hornbeck, b abt.1805, GA. They left Ga. and was in Giles Co TN, where some children were born and moved then into Lawrence Co, Al. and then into Miss and then into La./Texas just across the LA. boarder into the bad lands of La and Texas, which some of is now part of Sabine Co Texas. This John and Sarah had 5 children that came to Texas with them, at least 3 boys and may be 2 girls. Daniel Bush Easley, Sr., Clem and ???, (might have been William) Anyway, Daniel Bush and Jane had in the household in the 1840's two boys who I think were their grandsons, named William and Lemmon.) Jane still had with her in the 1860's census in Phalba, Van Zandt Co Texas, a boy name William. I believe Daniel Sr. and Jane died in Van Zandt Co and is buried in Old Bethel Cemetery, Old Bethel Community between Mabank and Canton Texas. Sure hope this fits your group. I've been a long time trying to find a connection. Janie Easley Vance
