Would like any info on James Willie Manning born July 15, 1849 in Jackson County, Alabama and died July 14, 1917 in Lincoln County, Tennessee (data taken from J.W. Manning death cert) s/o James Canada and Charity Berry Manning (data taken from family trees on ancestry.com)
James Willie Manning marred first Sarah F "Sallie Jones b. abt 1860 (date of birth source was 1880 census report of Madison County, Alabama), they married in Madison County, Alabama on December 14, 1876 (found record on ancestry for James W Manning and Sallie F Jones)
Sarah F. "Sallie" Jones was the daughter of Lorenzo Dow and Mary Jane "Polly" Sandlin Jones of New Market, Alabama. I do not have a death date for Sallie Jones Manning and would love for someone to contact me if that have it.
James Willie and Sallie Jones Manning had two sons, Lee Munro Manning 1870-1963 and Henry A Manning 1880-? Don't have a death date for Henry A either.
James Willie Manning was found in the 1900 Woodville, Jackson County, Alabama census married to Lucy Susan Grey (surname came for trees on ancestry) the census said they had married in 1900. They were found again in 1910 in Lincoln County, Tennessee and had three children, Dasia J, Willie and Jewel. There was Gus Grey 20 and Mattie Grey 15 listed at brother and sister in law of HOH and a Andrew Brasene, 3 (might be Braizer) listed as a nephew of HOH. If anyone has any data to share on these families please contact me....I have Sandlin data I can share..
