This may be your man. Son Charles would not have been born at the time the census was taken.

1860 census, Newton, Dale County, AL:
John S. Wade, age 39, b. GA, farmer
Carilda Wade, age 31, wife, b. GA
William H., age 10, b. GA
Francis H. (male), age 7, b. GA
Elizabeth S., age 5, b. GA
Milo M., age 3, b. AL
Shade Stewart, age 21, farm laborer, b. GA

From ages of children, family evidently moved to AL between 1855 and 1858.
