Thomas...
First I want to say we have very little to go on other than census.
There are conflicting reports of George being born in Arkansas,Alabama,Texas and even a death record of one of his children states Ireland as George's birthplace. Birth ranges from 1850-1853 generally. We so far haven't been able to prove anything. He changes his bithdate often.

He married Masha? 1875 Miller County Arkansas per census.
On a census I believe it stated she had a fever the best I can interpret . I believe that was an 1880 census and it doesn't coincide with all his marriage records. At this moment in time I am believing she died.
George married a Miram I (Slay) Walker in 1876 as stated on the 1900 census. So if all this is correct ,Noah was born that same year.
We were told by a 92 year old family member that George was married to an indian woman and didn't want anyone to know it, I am wondering if Masha , Miriam are one and the same to throw off anyone seeking to remove indians or something. To add another thing , we also found a marriage to a Mire Misshe Brown on Aug. 18,1875 to a G.W.
Walker....How many G.W. Walkers, George Washington Walkers could there be at the same time in the same county on the same general time frames????? Also, there was a black George Washington Walker living in the county at the same time....To complicate matters the children listed for Masha and Miram are some of the same.

As far as Cass County goes Noah said he was born there in 1876 but the census states Arkansas,Alabama.
So if he was born there I assumed his dad was there too????
The earliest record I have for George in Miller County Arkansas is a marriage record to Masha 1875.

The only thing I know about George being in Mccurtain County was by word of mouth, was told he lived with Noah before his death sometime in the mid 30's-early40's. so far I haven't found anything on the census records to support that.

So as you can see I am terribly confused and trying to sort out a big mess. The elderly person we got what little we know from doesn't remember much. We were also told Noah had 1/2 siblings but they were all Walkers
I was hoping by posting this a distant relative might read the post and come to my rescue. That about sums it up.
Thank You so very much for your help .
Ruth
