This is the info I have on the family of my "Davy" David Lewis- who received land in South Carolina alongside John Mason and wife Eleanor Lewis Mason-(my ggggrandparents)-
Children of David Sr. and Mary Crawford --
a. John- b 1720 - married Priscilla Brooks, b Oct 16, 1725- Guilford NC. - daughter of Jacob Brooks and Elizabeth Warren- She died in 1797- (Jacob Brooks born Christ Church Parish, Middlesex Co.Va, son of William and Sarah Brooks)- daughter of Thomas Warren of Sussex Co. Va. Jacob married 2nd to Rosannah Shepherd (possibly a widow). He died in Newberry Co. S. Carolina June 10, 1802- Will file in 1802 in Randolph Co. N.C. but written 1797. John applied for land on Back Creek near Opequhon but never settled- He is mentioned in a deposition in regard to a case between George Paris and Richard Paris Nov 1770- *Birthdates recorded from Family Bible

a. David- b March 21, 1747-VA. - married to Ann Beason-b May 30, 1749- on Jan 30, 1768- New Garden MM- Guilford North Carolina- She daughter of Benjamin Beason and Elizabeth Hunter- Quakers- David married second to Penelope ?- 1813- -He died Jun 23, 1822- Anderson Co. SC.- buried Old Stone Church Yard. Per Will and probate records.

1.Isaiah- b Sep 3, 1769- married Nancy Julian died Jan 25, 1837- Terre Haute, Vigo Co. Indiana.
2.Priscilla-b Sep 4, 1770- married Thomas Field
3.Jacob- b Mar 14, 1772- married 1. Sarah Ruckman 2. Alcey or Katherine Leonard- died Aug 4, 1838- Pickens Co. SC.
4.Joab- b Dec 23, 1773- married Phebe Barton- died Aug 23, 1887-
5.Catherine- b @1774- married Joshua Story Jul 31, 1795- Wilkes Co. NC-
6.Neriah- b Jun 25, 1778- married Mary Moss- died Nov 27, 1843- Macoupin Co. Illinois.
7.Benjamin- b May 26, 1781- died 1840- Henry Co. Alabama Married Mary who is found living with her daughter Caroline Brown in 1850 Census. Their children:
a.John- b 1800- SC- married Sarah M Hutchinson Feb 15, 1827- Their children:
i.Benjamin Hutchinson b Sep 19, 1827
ii.James A.J.- b Nov 10, 1829- died 184
b. Crawford b d married Jun 28, 1832 to Eady Jones
c. Benjamin- b d married Feb 8, 1833 to Anna Jane Creech. d. Eveline Caroline- b 1808- married Thomas Brown e. Sarah G. b 1812- married Aug 26, 1836 to White Pynes
f. Nancy- b d married a Harper
g. Mariah S.- b 1822- married Thomas Armstrong
h. Sterling J.- b 1825- married May 8, 1849 to Mary E. Johnson
i. Eleanor- b d- married Jun 4, 1848 to Evans E. Bates.
8.Elizabeth-b Sep 21, 1783- married Micajah Alexander- died Oct 4, 1840- Pickens Co. SC
9.Cosby-b Jul 17, 1785- married John Woodall-
10.Tarleton-b Aug 11, 1787- married Rachel Williams - died @1866 Cass Co. GA
11.Hannah-b Oct 2, 1789- married Ezekiel Harlon- died Jul 22, 1869- Johnson Co. MO.
12.Abner-b Sep 22, 1775-
13.David- by Penelope- b Jan 24, 1814- Anderson Co. SC- married 1. Dorothy Trail 2. Elizabeth Carson
14.Rosannah- by Penelope- b Oct 26, 1815- Anderson Co, SC.

The Benjamin b 1781 is the one in Henry Co. Ala. He was s/o David Lewis, s/o John Lewis and Priscilla Brooks, first s/o David and Mary Crawford Lewis- who migrated from Frederick Co. VA to South Carolina-
