Forgive me if I use you as a sounding board, but here is my analysis of this information, added to the information I had before.
Some of the possibilities are:
a.There were a lot of Robert Slough's wandering around Washington county marrying into the Sanderson family (possible, but not the most likely)
b.Robert Slough either had 2 wives (possible considering other things I have found in my search!) or he got two of the Sanderson daughters pregnant (again, possible considering I have the same man show up 3 times in Itawamba county, MS).
c.The most likely scenario - Isabell Sanderson does not show up in any of the census records I could find.Willi and Evy were living with their "grandparents" Oscar and Nancy Sanderson, Wallas is living with his uncle, a son of Oscar and Nancy Sanderson.Evie (Slough) Napper's mother is listed as Laura Sanderson.I believe that the person I know as Laura J. Sanderson is actually Laura Isabell Sanderson - someone misread the I for a J on a census record.
Is my logic sound in your opinion?Do I have enough basis to go into my Ancestry.com account and update their Laura J. Sanderson census records?
Thank you again for all of your help!Your suggestion really got me going in what I hope is th right direction!
Stephanie Slough
