Passing of Mr. Thomas Bodine
I thought I would let the users of the Alabama Genealogy Forum know that someone who has helped many of us over the years passed away a few months ago.I meant to post this when I first read it.The link is to a story about Mr. Bodine which was published in his local paper a few days after his passing.Rick

Thomas Bodine
Thomas Bodine, 83, of Brashiers Chapel died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Bodine was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Marshall County to Perry and Clara Bodine. He was married to the former Barbara Sams for 45 years.
He served in the United States Navy, was a member of New Brashiers Chapel Methodist Church, the Union Grove Masonic Lodge and the Frank Bradford Disabled American Veterans chapter.
He retired in June 1984 from Redstone Arsenal, where he worked as a computer specialist.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara Bodine of Brashiers Chapel; five sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Roberta Bodine and Keith Bodine of Arab, Derrick Burns Jr. and Gay Lynn of Missouri, Michael Keith and Linda Burns of Arab, and Stephen Glenn and Pam Burns of Decatur; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law: Bobby and Sue Bodine of Arab; sister and brother-in-law: Betty and Sam Griffin of Arab; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Sandra Williams.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, with Mike Shirley and Buddy Chamness officiating. Burial was in Brashiers Chapel Cemetery, with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Adam Bodine, Greg Bodine, Keith Bodine, Derrick Burns III, Michael Burns and Shaun Williams.
