Have you considered that the Johnson family in Bosque Co., Texas were the maternal grandparents of Ben and William ?

In 1900, George W. Johnson - age 47, his wife Mattie G. - age 38, amd their 10 children were living in Lanett, Alabama .. George and 3 of his childrem were working in the Lanett Cotton Mill ...

They had two daughters, Annie C - age 16, and Mary H. - age 11, in 1900 ..

You might check with the Chambers Co. Probate Office on any available marriages between Johnson's and Pruitt's in the 1900 to 1910 time - frame ...
