Ezekiel Mayfield was born about 1766 in VA. He died on November 10, 1852 in Tuscaloosa Co. AL. He married Elizabeth Sanders, daughter of Ezekiel Sanders and Katherine Moore of Chester Co. SC. He moved to Tuscaloosa Co. in the 1820's. They had the following children:
1) Elisha B. Mayfield (1804-1878) m. Elizabeth __________.
He died in 1878 in Holmes Co. MS.
2) Catherine Mayfield b. 1808, _________, m. Peter Randolph Cabaniss. They married on September 14, 1824 in Tuscaloosa Co. AL.
3) Eleander Mayfield, b. abt. 1812
4) James Ezekiel (Sugar) Mayfield, (1813-1878). He married twice, Christina McRee and Nancy Brumby. He died in Itawamba Co. MS.
