Hartwell Huskey is my 3rd great-grandfather, and I am interested in learning his ancestry. I searched Huskey, Hartwell, and Brunswick on the web and stumbled across a reference to a recent publication:
“BRUNSWICK COUNTY, VIRGINIA 1782: Persons Who Gave Aid in the American Revolution,” a 2007 reprint. It is a 14 page monograph that lists ‘patriots’ who were suppliers of Revolutionary Army requirements. Has anyone had access to this volume?
The blurb on the web-site lists surnames of family members who contributed, and these include Huskey and Hartwell. It would be nice to know the full names of the Hartwell and Huskey contributors.
There were two contemporary Hartwell Huskeys, mine and a Hartwell in Alabama, a schoolteacher and farmer. The juxtaposition of Hartwell and Huskey is rather unusual, and it has been speculated by contributors to this site that the two were somehow related.
