No relation, just doing a lookup for you.

Now I've searched census and other items for hours and hours. I'm telling you this only to show you how diligent I searched for them. When I searched census, and especially those years I found nothing, I did every manner of search I could think of. Wildcard, soundexed, even went to the point of using just a given initial, no surname, and a time frame for birth in and for certain counties, and still could not come up with results in some years.

I never was able to locate Grethel on census. I never found a James/Jim/J with a daughter that would fit her (or any variation of her names).

What little I could locate on Arthur, I could never locate him residing with his father or never could locate him on census as a child. (1900-1920) When I do find him on census, he is already married with children.

Lucily you posted the names of his brother and sisters. I assume they were half siblings and I did find them on census. They were much younger than Arthur.

Well here goes. I also may have included some info on folks NOT yours, but did so only to show that there was another with the same/similar info, and then why I came to the conclusion that they were not your ancestor.
