The 1870 census for Butler County Alabama show my great grand parents
as:
Robin Powell age 30 B Alabama Alabama
Bettie age 21 MU Alabama Alabama
Emma age 7 B Alabama Alabama
Hattie age 3 B Alabama Alabama
I find Robin and Bettie also known as Robbie and Elizabeth in 1880, 1900, 1910, and 1920 census both dying in 1924 Robin in Novenber and Bettie in May. In each census they lived in Monterey, Butler, AL.
What do I do now to find the slaveowner?
