Seeking info on my g-grandfather, Robert WALKER. Here is the little I know of him:
Robert WALKER was b. abt. 1819-1825 somewhere in Alabama. He was in Caddo Parish, LA by 1855 when he married a Miss Sina WALKER, who was b. abt. 1840 also in ALabama. Robert WALKER married second, in 1877, Miss Laura Emily CHRISTIAN in Caddo Parish, LA.
Robert was listed on the 1860, 1870, 1880 and 1900 censuses as either "Fisherman" or "Hunter"...Robert's sons (Robert Lee, Arthur, & Raymond WALKER) were also commericial fishermen, as were four of his grandsons...so--anyone missing a Robert WALKER, probably comes from a fishing family, somewhere in AL???
