Texas You can also Visit Our Web Site at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~genlittle/ Notes: Mina Little of Tallapoosa GA. has placed the family in Weatherford, Parker Co., Texas on March 3, 1876. Alford H Green swore to the application for land patent for William Joseph Little. Could this be either Exer’s husband or father in law? Murray County GA Military Civil War Roster Co B 39th Regiment lists Alford Green, -- Private - March 10, 1862. Died August 1862. This could be why we can’t find them anywhere. But the children were born after this date. Children Of Exer and Alfred 1_10_1. Mary E. Green b. About 1851, Georgia 1_10_2. Emily J. Green b. About 1853, Georgia 1_10_3. Exer Lee Green b. No date here EMAIL FROM TONI TURK (NOT FAMILY) tturk@sanjuan.net Thanks for your response. It has improved my record. My interest in this line is that I have assumed the role of genealogist for Sturdivant Cemetery in Palo Pinto Co., TX. Emily J. GREEN is buried in the cemetery. She appears on the 1880 census in Precinct #5 of Palo Pinto Co.,. This area is known as the Sturdivant community. Sturdivant actually straddles the Palo Pinto/Parker county line. Your four children for Alfred H. and Exer L. GREEN appear to have come from an 1860 or 1870 census record. Given the choices, your child “Exer D.” probably is the one I have as “Emily J.”, which is the way it is recorded on the 1880 census and on her tombstone. A date of death is not recorded, nor is a husband. The earliest burial in Sturdivant is in Apr 1880. I am led to wonder if Exer L. LITTLE GREEN may also be buried in Sturdivant in an unmarked grave. A marriage to Alfred H. GREEN in 1873 certainly appears unlikely, unless it was a second marriage for both of them; however, an 1860 or 1870 census entry should definitely rule that out. Alfred H. GREEN appears to be deceased by 1880.
