P.G. Hancock and P.Green Hancock same as Pleasant G.?

P.G. Hancock is found in the Deeds in Tallapoosa Co. AL
when I get into the record it says P. Green Hancock my question is. Is this Pleasant G. Hancock who married Milly Whinnery in pike Co. GA and lived in meriweather Co. GA.?
his son Pleasant Columbus Hancock called him Jerry on his death certificate and one of the grandchildren is named Jerry who lived in Leake Co. MS where I last find Pleasant G. living in 1860 census. katbuss@brightok.net
