Thank you, Nancy, for the information you sent me about the Methodist records. I will contact them and see if I can find someething.
I thought there was only one county in AL during that time period (1815-1825) but I am from Texas and don't really know. Thought that I read that there was a Jefferson County before there was a state of Alabama.
Sounds odd, doesn't it? So, I thought that they must have been in the northeast part of Al in Jefferson Co; however, I also read something about Etowah Co. Do you know of such a county?
Anyway, thanks so much for your help.
