Question for Nancy Bell: I have seen an excerpt from a little book about Methodists in Florida and Alabama that told of an irishman named Cunningham who had several strong sons who went to AL. He lived on Cunningham Creek which was a 'run off' from the Black Warrior River. There was no church there and several men including Cunningham, a Mr. Hewitt, Potts and others began holding services in Cunningham's cabin. I believe this was about 1815. I think Cunningham had a grist mill. After a few years, they were able to get an organized church with a traveling preacher and it was known as Jones Valley. Do you have any information on this incident. I am searching tehis in the belief that Cunningham may have been my ggg-grandfather. Many thanks for any help you may give. Virginia Lee
